Did you know that in all regions MBARI has explored, they have found marine debris, and more than a third of that is plastic? Marine debris and plastic pollution are major global issues that threaten the health and safety of all ocean inhabitants. To help researchers detect and identify marine debris, we created a new Trash mission in FathomVerse. Select ‘Trash’ in training mode to unlock the ability to identify trash in ocean images.
